Some people believe that exploring outer space is important because it expands human knowledge and might lead to discoveries that will benefit humanity in the future. Other people believe that space exploration is a waste of money that could be better spent solving immediate problems here on Earth. Choose which position you most agree with and discuss why you chose that position. Support your point of view with details from your own experiences, observations or reading.

Many space exploration activities are carried out since the beginning of the 20th century. Some people believe that space exploration is essential to enhance the human knowledge of outer space while others maintain that exploring space is a waste of money. This essay will discuss why space exploration activities are considered as a useless activity.

Exploring outer space requires huge monetary support through national and international funding. The spaceships used in such activities cannot be reused again as they get demolished after a period of time. Rockets and satellites, for instance, cannot be reused in the future. The finance used for the research and development of space exploration activities thus end up without any use for humanity.

Many problems associated with human suffering requires a considerable amount of money to alleviate it. The funds which are used on aimless space activities can be fruitfully used to tackle these well-known problems of our society. For example, hunger and malnutrition can be eliminated from our surroundings by providing good food and treatment for the needed. The budget used on space exploration can be ideally used to improve the living condition of our fellow human beings.

This essay discussed why the use of money on space exploration activities is unessential because it does not yield any benefit to humanity and it is a waste of money. In my opinion, more budget must be used for improving the living condition on earth than on spending it aimlessly for space exploration.
