Some people argue that technological inventions such as mobile phones are making people socially less interactive. Do you agree or disagree?

Some people believe that the latest development in technology made people less socially interactive than before.

But I personally disagree with such a notion, because of various factors which help the people to come together due to advancement in technology.

Obviously,  it is clear that new inventions in science helped us abundantly to overcome the obstacles in communication. This is mainly because technology made the communication process simpler and faster than ever before. We can also say that nowadays there are more opportunities for people to interact with each other through social networking applications. For instance, different applications, such as WhatsApp, Viber, and so on, help people to communicate regularly with each other. Hence, new scientific inventions intervene in overcoming communication issues.

Further, it is evident that new gadgets help to bring people close to each other; because through digital media people living in two different time zones of the world can communicate instantly and flawlessly. Additionally, in recent days the number of introverts are decreasing because of the influence of social media on people which attract them to use it regularly. For example, the use of emoji and smileys help the self-bound people to express their unspoken desires through small icons. Thus, gadgets help in improving socialization.

On the other hand, it is also possible to argue that new technology has made people live in the virtual world more than in the real world. This is because some are more addicted to new gadgets and they spend less time interacting with people in their vicinity. Again we can say that people play more digital games and use gaming accessories which forward this problem.

There are few drawbacks in the use of the latest technology; we cannot disregard its contribution towards making the communication easier. Hence I personally disagree with the motion that Technology reduces social interactions.
