It is a foolish idea to get married and settle down before finishing your studies. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

The age at which people must marry is still a debatable topic in the current generation. Worldwide different criteria are used to maintain the legal age and conditions for marriage. Some people think that marriage before employment is a wrong decision while others argue that studying in a school or unemployment is not a limiting factor for the decision to marry. This essay will discuss why marriage, before completing the studies and getting a job, is a bad choice.

The marital life is not just a coming together of two individual's, but it is full of making many decisions affecting their life in a long-run. A marital relationship requires mature decision-making skills from both the partner's to live life happily. Planning for a child, for example, is an important decision to be taken by both partners by assessing their ability to take up the responsibility of child-rearing. The marital life needs mature decision maker's to lead a happy wedded life which is not seen among school children.

The responsibility associated with marriage is creating own livelihood which is mainly dependent on the financial productivity of the couples. Unemployed individuals do not earn money and end up in making huge financial obligations for their future life. Taking personal loans, for instance, can lead to an unbearable financial burden on the couples. Hence, marriage before meeting the financial stability in life is a wrong choice.

This essay discussed why marriage, before completing education and getting employment, is a wrong choice, because it doe not help the couples to make mature decisions in life and it does not enable them to meet financial necessities in life. In my opinion, the marriage must be allowed after getting a good earning job.
