Students should pay the full cost of their own university studies rather than have free higher education provided by the state. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

The advantages of taking the financial responsibility of one's own higher education over free University studies funded by the government is a frequently debated topic these days.

I agree with the notion that students must pay the financial expenses of their university-level education.

On the one side, it is clear that paying the cost of one's own studies is a personal responsibility of a student because university-level students are mature enough to look after their financial concerns. It is possible to say that paying for their studies makes them more responsible for their studies. For example, students who take bank loans for funding their studies pay more attention in classes rather than the ones who get free seats through government scholarships.  Scoring higher marks in the examinations will be the prime focus on students who take loans for their studies because they are liable to pay the money back to the bank.

Spending on one's self-education is more advantageous than getting free education because it helps to concentrate more on studies rather than on gossip, and college-level politics. Self-funding the studies, also, makes the student more focused and goal-oriented. To cite an example, it is commonly noted by the teachers in classes that the self-financed students pay more concentration on classes to get a higher percentage of marks in the university-level examination.

State funding on education is unnecessary at university-level education in which students can borrow financial aids from different banking organizations. Hence I believe taking the monetary responsibility by the student during their university studies is better for their future.
