It is equally important for school children and university students to be involved in the extra-curricular activities as it is good for academic studies and examinations. What’s your opinion? Use your expertise or examples to support.

With the rise of urbanization and technology development across the world, the extra-curricular activities has become the subject of heated debate. While it is possible to claim that the activities provides various benefits such as academic studies, others maintain that the substantial side effects of examinations lead to the controversy over the potential impact of this trend over the past years.

In this essay, I shall elaborate on my point of view by analysing both sides of an argument with my experience before a proper conclusion.

First of all, it is generally acknowledged that the substantial side effects of the extra studies provides a number of merits. For example, it has comprehensively contributed to the advancement of the subject such as culture and a human lifestyle in many ways. Furthermore, it can also be argued that studying in university is beneficial for the young generation as well as adults who want to learn more.

On the other hand, those who argued for the addictive studies have a different perspective and demonstrate convincingly that it can actually have a negative impact on society as a whole. Moreover, there are multifarious of concerns such as overtime studies after school, and those can be a significant factor to be considered.

To sum up, considering what has been discussed above, it is my opinion that far-reaching positive effects which have brought to the society far outweigh than harmful. Therefore, I strongly recommend that to keep this trend for the future, although there will undoubtedly be some negative consequences of this trend, societies can take conscious steps to mitigate the potential problems.
