Student travel to study is over-rated, we have brilliant scholars who studied locally. Is travel really required for higher studies?

Studying in an overseas university has become a trend these days. People assume that getting a degree from a foreign university is the best way to attain higher degrees.

This essay will discuss why abroad education is not necessary for tertiary studies.

Travelling abroad to study higher education is not essential to become a scholar. Student's who study in their own country can also achieve better academic skills and become scholars in their field of study. For example, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Azad, Former President of India, is a local graduate from a university in his state. Better academic performance is unrelated to the place of study or the university, this is because their academic achievement determines the value of their education.

People who studied in local universities in the past became brilliant scholars and proved that overseas education is not a must to become an expert in the field of study. Travelling for the study also exerts more financial pressure over the families and are usually over-rated to attract pupils from wealthy families. Poor students, for instance, who study in universities with in their geological terrain usually attain better scholastic skills and become more knowledgeable than the ones who study abroad. Moreover, studying in an overseas educational institution is just a luxury for boosting the academic qualification rather than a perfect method of academic performance.

This essay discussed why abroad education is not a basic requirement to become a scholar because it is not an essential requirement and it is not proved necessary over the local educational system. In my opinion, studying abroad is unnecessary for higher studies.
